Who would've thought that the Long Island girl who didn't even know what house music was until she was nineteen, would become one of NYC's hottest female DJ's, and in just eight short months would accomplish what normally takes DJ’s years.

Danielle Nicole has been playing the flute since the age of six and the piano since she was eleven.  Music has always played an important role in her life, and with her grandfather a professional singer and her father a music teacher, it was inevitable that Danielle Nicole would pursue a career in the music industry.  It was during her third year at NYU that she took an interest in the art of DJing, when she was introduced to underground dance culture and instantly became an avid follower of world renowned DJ Danny Tenaglia and NYC icon Jonathan Peters.  Seeing and feeling what these two artists were able to create on the dance floor was unlike anything she had ever experienced, and through these experiences she discovered that house music was her true passion.

At 22 years old, with passion and musical talent behind her, the self-taught DJ invested in some basic DJ equipment, and just five months later was offered her first gig at Whiskey Bar in Long Island in January 2005.  In the months to follow, Danielle Nicole was booked at numerous Long Island venues, including ICE, the largest club on Long Island and The Drink, a favorite for house music lovers.

Two months after her debut as a DJ, Danielle Nicole was offered an opportunity to play at the annual Winter Music Conference in Miami.  After proving to be a huge success at the Neutone Record party and her name being tossed around by many in the industry, Danielle Nicole returned to New York to find herself met with numerous offers to play in Manhattan— where she ultimately wanted to be.  Within the next few months she performed at a number of NYC locations including: Viscaya, Show, Quo, Providence, Cellar Bar, Temple, Local West, and Spider Club.

Danielle Nicole had yet another huge break over the summer of 2005, when she was offered a spot in Vegas over Labor Day Weekend to spin at the Rise & Shine After Hours party at Voodoo Lounge.  After spinning two consecutive nights at the hottest party in town, she left her mark on the Vegas crowd and already has plans in the works for future performances in Sin City.

Since Danielle Nicole's immediate rise to the top, she has had the opportunity to spin at almost every major NYC venue, including Pacha, Roseland Ballroom and Copa Cabanna, and most recently secured a bi-monthly residency at an intimate venue in midtown called Local West.  Throughout 2006, she also had a monthly residency at the Roxy— one of the hottest clubs in Boston. She is now getting into the production side and has had many offers to work with some of the top musicians in the industry.  For the past year, she has worked alongside DJ Jonathan Peters (Voted America's #1 DJ of 2006 by DJ Times Magazine), as well as being the only DJ privileged to play out with him at gigs.

When asked what genre of music she likes to play, Danielle responds, "I don't really like to categorize the type of music that I play.  There are so many sub-genres now, and there is such a fine line between them. If I like a track, I will work it into my set no matter what it is.  I'll play anything and make it work."  Confident, but definitely not cocky, Danielle is more appreciative than anything of how far she has come.  "It's really been like a dream come true up until this point, and I appreciate all the support I've gotten more than anything in the world."
